50th Logistics Anniversary – PD Speakers
As you are all no doubt aware, our 15-19 Oct 50th Anniversary Log Week has been significantly curtailed due to external factors necessitating some scheduling adjustments, including a reduction of the PD to one day (17 Oct 0800-1700 hrs). I am hoping to garner your support to maximize participation for a very rich agenda (see enclosed) which, as promised, will include multiple international and national speakers.
The venue of Regt de Hull has remained extant due to non-availability on the Ottawa side of the river. That said, a RSVP tool has been set up (see link below) in order to provide requisite information for the day, and capacity of attendees. It also provides the option to provide a group return. It is critical that this tool be used, as the challenges of the short-timeframe remaining due to curtailing requirements could easily derail this activity. I would ask each of you personally to spread the word of this activity and the methodology for registration due to the level of participation our Allies are providing us.
Logistics Professional Development Day
Of note, it is anticipated that lunch will “likely” be pizza of varying types, so should your folks have special dietary requirements, I would ask that they be advised to bring their own lunch just in case. Attendees are asked to arrive by 0730 hrs to ensure we can get underway at 0800 hrs as per the schedule.
There will be no TD / MTEC reimbursement for this specific event (in case that question comes up).
