WO Stacy Warren
After more than 42 plus years of loyal and dedicated service to Canada, the Canadian Armed Forces WO Stacy Warren will retire on Feb 14th, 2023. Stacy enrolled in 1980 as reserve Weapons Technician (Land) and transferred to the regular force in 1990 as a Traffic Tech Attended phase 1 of his QL3 course in Borden then proceeded to CFB Edmonton to complete his actual trade portion of his QL3. Upon graduation in August 1990 was posted to 2 Svc Bn in CFB Petawawa while there completed QL5, many field exercise including RV 92 and a 6 month tour in Croatia. In Jan 1996 received his posting message to 2 Air Mov Sqn and were he did a deployment to Central Africa for a month. In 2001 deployed to UAE for the beginning of many tours to the Camp Mirage. In 2005 he received a 1 year break to attend his CC130 loadmaster course. Upon completion was posted to 436 Sqn. In 2006 did his first tour to Afghanistan as a tactical loadmaster and again in 2007. While on deployment he was asked if he was willing to switch airframes and go to the CC177 Globemaster. That decision took an all of 5 seconds and in Sept 2007 was sent of Altus Oklahoma for 3 month loadmaster course. In January 2008 he received his posting message to 429 Sqn where he was promoted to the rank of Sgt and completed his QL6 and spent the next 6 years flying all over the world. In 2014 was posted to the 1st Canadian Division Headquarters in Kingston but employed at the HRD Trenton. While posted there he attended three Log Fas courses and has participated in two Dart deployments and one Neo deployment acting as the Task force movement’s officer. In July 2018 he was promoted to his current rank and then posted back to Air force at 8 Wing Trenton working for the 1st CDN Air Div AFERSET Det Trenton were he completed a tour to Kuwait in 2021. Stacy will remain in Trenton with Angela and grand kids. He is planning on doing a heavy equipment operator course and enjoying working part time.
Après plus de 42 ans de bons et loyaux services au Canada, l’Adj Stacy Warren des Forces armées canadiennes prendra sa retraite le 14 février 2023. En 1980, Stacy s’enrôle comme technicien d’armement (Terre) de la Réserve et il est transféré à la Force régulière en 1990 comme technicien des mouvements. Il suit l’étape 1 de son cours de NQ3 à Borden, puis se rend à la BFC Edmonton pour terminer la partie consacrée au groupe professionnel. Après avoir obtenu son diplôme en août 1990, il est affecté au 2 Bon Svc, à la BFC Petawawa, où il termine son NQ5. Il participe à de nombreux exercices en campagne, y compris l’exercice RV 92, et à une mission de six mois en Croatie. En janvier 1996, il reçoit son message d’affectation au 2 Esc Mouv Air et il est envoyé en Afrique centrale pendant un mois. En 2001, il est transféré aux Émirats arabes unis pour le début de nombreuses missions au Camp Mirage. En 2005, il bénéficie d’une pause d’un an pour suivre son cours d’arrimeur de CC130. Après avoir terminé sa formation, il est affecté au 436 Esc. En 2006, il accomplit sa première mission en Afghanistan en tant qu’arrimeur tactique, suivi d’une seconde mission en 2007. Pendant son affectation, on lui demande s’il souhaite changer de cellule et opter pour le CC177 Globemaster. Il prend cette décision en 5 secondes et en septembre 2007, il est envoyé à Altus, en Oklahoma, pour suivre un cours d’arrimeur de 3 mois. En janvier 2008, il reçoit son message d’affectation au 429 Esc où il est promu au grade de sgt et termine son NQ6. Il passe les 6 années suivantes à parcourir le monde en avion. En 2014, il est affecté au quartier général de la 1re Division du Canada à Kingston, mais il travaille au DIR de Trenton. Pendant son affectation, il suit trois cours Log Fas et prend part à deux déploiements de l’EICC et à un déploiement NEO en tant qu’officier des mouvements de la Force opérationnelle. En juillet 2018, il est promu à son grade actuel et affecté de nouveau à la 8e Escadre Trenton de la Force aérienne, où il travaille avec l’EENDEFA du Dét Trento, de la 1re Division aérienne du Canada, où il termine une affectation au Koweït en 2021. Stacy restera à Trenton avec Angela et ses petits-enfants. Il prévoit suivre un cours de conducteur d’équipement lourd et il aime travailler à temps partiel.
