WO J. Martin 00375 HRA
Warrant Officer (WO) Martin with 36 years of service will be retiring from the Regular Forces and transferring to the Reserve Forces on 5 February 2018.
Upon completion of basic and trades training as an Administration Clerk, WO Martin was posted to CFS Beausejour, Manitoba where she met her husband Michael Martin. After Beausejour, she was posted CFRC Edmonton then off to CC NAEWF Geilenkirchen, Germany where they discovered their love for travelling. Back to Canada, she again landed in CFRC Edmonton before moving on to 4 Wing Cold Lake. In Cold Lake, she completed her first tour, OP Echo, and was selected for CANZEX. While there, she was involved with the Defense Aboriginal Advisory Group, which she would remain a part of for the majority of her career.
On leaving Cold Lake, she was posted to 14 Wing Greenwood. Another tour followed, Op Athena, on return going to 14 Wing HQ, 14 AMS and then 413 Sqn Greenwood. After Greenwood came 17 Wing Winnipeg, WTIS, Wing Tasking and then 1 Canadian Air Defence Comptroller. While there, requested one more OUTCAN and was selected for a position at Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) Stavanger, Norway. This turned out to be one of the best posting that Judy and Mike had, and where they were able to continue their love for travelling and adventures; taking in 30 plus countries. Then reality hit and they returned to Canada with a posting to Strategic Joint Staff Ottawa as Chief Clerk. This was her final posting as a Regular Force member, BUT, from here, WO Judy Martin will be taking a Class A position with Joint Rescue Command Centre, Trenton where she and Mike will be retiring in their newly built house.
Judy and Mike Martin, after 32 years of marriage and Military life, will be retiring in Belleville, Ontario.

Adjudant Judy Audrey Heron Martin, CD ARH 00375
Après 36 années de service, l’adjudant (Adj) Martin prendra sa retraite des Forces régulières et transférera à la Force de réserve le 5 février 2018.
Après avoir suivi l’instruction de base et la formation dans les métiers en tant que commis à l’administration, l’Adj Martin a été affectée à la SFC Beausejour, au Manitoba, où elle a rencontré son mari, Michael Martin. Après Beausejour, elle a été affectée au CRFC Edmonton, puis à la CC-FADLO à Geilenkirchen, en Allemagne, où elle et son mari ont découvert leur amour des voyages. De retour au Canada, elle a de nouveau été affectée au CRFC Edmonton avant d’aller à la 4e Escadre Cold Lake. À cet endroit, elle a participé à sa première période d’affectation, l’Op ECHO, et a été choisie pour le programme CANZEX. Dans le cadre de ce dernier, elle a participé aux activités du Groupe consultatif des Autochtones de la Défense, groupe dont elle fera partie pendant la majorité de sa carrière.
Lorsqu’elle a quitté Cold Lake, elle a été affectée à la 14e Escadre Greenwood. Une autre affectation a suivi, cette fois à l’Op Athena. À son retour, elle a été affectée au QG de la 14e Escadre, au 14 EMA et au 413e Esc Greenwood. Après son affectation à Greenwood, elle a été affectée à la 17e Escadre Winnipeg, aux STI Ere, à l’attribution des tâches de l’escadre, puis au poste de contrôleur de la 1re Division aérienne du Canada. En occupant ce dernier poste, elle a demandé une autre affectation à l’extérieur du Canada et a été choisie pour un poste au Centre de guerre interarmées (JWC) à Stavanger, en Norvège. Ce dernier s’est avéré la meilleure affectation de Judy et de Mike. Ils ont pu y concrétiser leur amour pour les voyages et l’aventure en visitant plus de 30 pays. La réalité les a rattrapés et ils sont revenus au Canada. Elle a été affectée à l’État-major interarmées stratégique en tant que commis en chef. Il s’agit de sa dernière affectation en tant que membre de la Force régulière, mais l’Adj WO Judy Martin a accepté un poste en service de classe A au Centre de commandement interarmées de sauvetage, à Trenton, où elle et Mike prendront leur retraite dans leur nouvelle maison.
Judy et Mike Martin, après 32 années de mariage et de vie militaire, prendront leur retraite à Belleville, en Ontario.
