Sgt Lanteigne-Grant
Sgt Lanteigne-Grant joined the Canadian Forces on 4 Jan 89; completing her basic training in St- Jean. After she did her QL3 in Borden as an Admin Clerk, her first posting was Gagetown, close to her home in Caraquet, NB. She spent 3 years in Gagetown, until 1992, she married her husband, a PPCLI member and was posted to Lord Strathcona’s Horse Royal Canadians (LdSH (RC)) Edmonton. During her posting in Edmonton, she completed a 6 month tour to Bosnia in 1994.
In 1996, Sgt Lanteigne-Grant was posted back to Gagetown. During her postings in Gagetown she completed a tour of 6months to CFS Alert. In 2002, she got posted to 14 Wing Greenwood, in the base orderly room. In 2006 until now, she got posted back to Gagetown where she worked over the duration of 12 years at Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering (CFSME), Royal Canadian Armoured School, and 5 Canadian Army Doctrine Training Centre (5 CDTC). After the Admin Clerk trade split in 2016, she re-mustered as Finance Clerk. Lastly was posted on 23 Jul to Real Property Operations Detachment Gagetown (RP Ops (Gt)). Upon her posting it was decided that she was ready for retirement, after 30 years of service.
Sgt Lanteigne-Grant loves volunteering, be at the Burton Lions Club Base Thrift Shop. She also like to do the “Meals on Wheels”. Sgt Lanteigne-Grant is married to Bruce Grant and have 3 children. Her son Michael is a member of the CF; currently posted to 22 Wing North Bay. Her two daughters, Myriam is in her 3rd year UNB in Saint John, NB and Mia is in grade 12 at Oromocto High School. Sgt Lanteigne-Grant lives in Burton and plans to stay here after her retirement.
Le Sgt Lanteigne-Grant a joint les Forces Armées Canadiennes le 4 janvier 1989; complétant sa formation de base à St-Jean. Après avoir effectué son NQ3 à Borden en tant que commis d’administration, sa première affectation a été Gagetown, près de chez elle à Caraquet, au Nouveau-Brunswick. Elle a passé trois ans à Gagetown, jusqu’en 1992. Elle a épousé son mari, un membre du PPCLI, et a été affectée au Lord Strathcona’s Horse Royal Canadians (LDSH (RC)) à Edmonton. Durant son affectation à Edmonton, elle a effectué un déploiement de 6 mois en Bosnie en 1994.
En 1996, le Sgt Lanteigne-Grant a été muté à Gagetown. Au cours de ses affectations à Gagetown, elle a effectué une tournée de six mois à la SFC Alert. En 2002, elle a été affectée à la 14e Escadre Greenwood dans la salle des rapports. En 2006, elle est retournée à Gagetown où elle a travaillé pendant 12 ans à l’École du Génie Militaire des Forces Canadiennes (ÉGMFC), à l’École du Corps Blindé Royal Canadien et pendant cinq ans au CDTC. Après le changement à l’occupation des commis d’administration de 2016, elle est maintenant commise aux finances. Enfin, elle a été postée le 23 juillet au détachement des opérations immobilières Gagetown (RP Ops (Gt)). Lors de son affectation, elle a décidée qu’elle était prête à prendre sa retraite après 30 ans de service.
Sgt Lanteigne-Grant aime faire du bénévolat à la friperie du Club Lions de Burton. Elle participe également à la popote roulante. Le Sgt Lanteigne-Grant est marié à Bruce Grant et a trois enfants. Son fils Michael est membre des FC; actuellement muté à la 22e Escadre North Bay. Deux filles, Myriam, en troisième année à l’UNB à Saint John, au Nouveau-Brunswick, et Mia, qui est en 12e année à l’école secondaire d’Oromocto. Le Sgt Lanteigne-Grant vit à Burton et prévoit y rester après sa retraite.
