After 24 and a half years of good and loyal service in the Canadian Armed Forces, PO2 Vienneau will retire on June 15, 2021. On 18th of December 1996, PO2 Vienneau decided to enlist in the Canadian Forces in the Bathurst, NB area. Following the recruiting camp, he began his career at Borden on the NQ3 course. After obtaining his NQ3 qualification in 1997, the M2 Vienneau was transferred to CFB Esquimalt in the base kitchen. He was subsequently transferred to the ship H.M.C.S Ottawa in 1997, where he carried out his first mission in 1998. He completed his QL5 course in 2002. 2004, he was posted to CFB Valcartier at the 12e RBC, where he will carry out several major exercises. In 2007, he was promoted to the rank of MS, and was posted to 3R22R for a second time as Chief Cook 2 i/c at the Battalion. In 2010, he took part in a mission in Afghanistan which lasted nearly 9 months. In 2012, he was promoted to the rank of PO2, and was assigned as Chief Cook in of the NCO kitchen. During this time he was transferred to 12 RBC for a second time. In 2013, he was transferred to 2 Div. From Canada. Where he is responsible for the ration department. In 2015, he was transferred as Chief Cook to the 34th Bat. Svc. in St-Hubert. In 2016, he was transferred once again to 3R22R and was responsible for the ration department to the base kitchen to then be assigned as Chief Cook 2i/c at the Battalion. He will carry out another mission in Latvia in 2019. In 2020, he is transferred to the frigate H.M.C.S Vancouver as Chief Cook 2i/ where he will finish his career. Jean-Guy would like to thank all his colleagues and all the people he has worked with throughout his career. Jean-Guy, his wife Isabelle, is planning to move to the Quebec City region, or he is planning to find a job in the Quebec City region. Due to the situation with covid-19, a rally will be held on the ship H.M.C.S. Vancouver when the situation permits. Il est par la suite muté sur le navire H.M.C.S Ottawa en 1997, ou il a effectué sa première mission en 1998 (OP Mercador). Il termine son cours NQ5 en 2002. Il est ensuite assigné à la cuisine de la base à Esquimalt en 2002. En 2003, il est muté sur le navire H.M.C.S. Regina, ou il participera à une deuxième Mission dans le Golfe Persique. En 2004, il est muté à la BFC Valcartier au 12e Régiment Blindé du Canada, ou il effectuera plusieurs exercices majeurs. En 2007, il est promu au grade de Matc, et est muté au 3R22R pour une deuxième fois en tant qu’adjoint du Chef-Cuisinier au Bataillon. En 2010, il participe à une mission en Afghanistan qui a duré près de 9 mois. En 2012, il est promu au grade de M2, et est assigné comme chef-cuisinier à la cuisine des Sgt/Adj. Pendant ce temps, il fut muté au 12 RBC pour une 2e fois. En 2013, il est muté à la 2 Div. Du Canada. ou il est responsable du département des rations. En 2015, il est muté en tant que chef cuisinier à la 34e Bat. Svc. à St-Hubert. En 2016, il est muté encore une fois au 3R22R et agi comme de responsable du dépt. des rations à la cuisine de la base pour être ensuite assigné comme Chef-cuisinier adjoint au Bataillon. Il effectuera une autre mission en Lettonie en 2019. En 2020, il est muté sur la frégate H.M.C.S Vancouver en tant que Chef-Cuisinier Adjoint ou il terminera sa carrière. Jean-Guy tient à remercier tous ses confrères de travail ainsi que l’ensemble des gens qu’il a côtoyé tout au long de sa carrière. Jean-Guy, sa conjointe Isabelle, planifie déménager dans la région de Québec, ou celui-ci planifie trouver un emploi dans la région de Québec.
