BEFORE HIS OCCUPATIONAL TRANSFER TO THE REGULAR FORCE ON 11 APR 2001 AFTER 7+ YEARS WITH THE NAVAL RESERVES, HE COMPLETED HIS JUNIOR LEADERSHIP TRAINING COURSE ON 14 AUG 1998 AT THE JUNIOR LEADERSHIP TRAINING SCHOOL IN HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA AND COOK QL5A JOURNEYMAN COURSE 01 SEP 2000 AT CANADIAN FORCES LOGISTICS TRAINING CENTRE IN BORDEN, ONTARIO.
POSTED TO CANADIAN FORCES JOINT SIGNALS REGIMENT IN KINGSTON, ONTARIO ON 14 APR 2001 WHERE HE DEPLOYED TO CANADIAN FORCES STATION ALERT (NOV 2001 – MAY 2002) AND TASK FORCE KABUL NATIONAL COMMAND ELEMENT (14 May – 16 Jul 2003). HE WAS PROMOTED TO THE RANK OF MS 29 JUL 2005.

AFTER COMPLETING HIS COOK QL6A COURSE 15 MAY 2009 AT CANADIAN FORCES LOGISTICS TRAINING CENTRE IN BORDEN, ONTARIO HE WAS SELECTED FOR TASK FORCE 1-10 IN AFGHANISTAN WHERE HE WAS PROMOTED WHILE SO EMPLOYED TO PO2 ON 24 MARCH 2010 FOR THE REMAINDER OF HIS TOUR. HE WAS PROMOTED SUBSTANTIVE TO THE RANK OF PO2 01 DECEMBER 2010.
