MWO MARIO BATTISTA, CD, 00168 SUP TECH
1. After more than 24 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces, MWO Mario Battista will be retiring effective 15 Jan 18.
2. MWO Battista enrolled as a Signal Operator with 709 (Toronto) Communication Regiment on 14 June 1993. Following training in Kingston and Borden, he was first employed as a detachment member for approximately 8 months before re-mustering to the supply trade in February 1994. From April 1994 to March 1997 he started his first Class B employment as the 2 I/C to the CQ. In 1996 he was award the soldier of the year for 70 Communication Group. MWO Battista continued his career as a Class A reservist while venturing off into civilian employment in various jobs before returning to Class B service in 2006 as the RQMS at 32 Signal Regiment. In 2009, MWO Battista joined 4th Canadian Division / JTFC Headquarters in his current capacity as the G4 Supply 2.
3. Mario will retire in Burlington ON with his wife Laura and children Joshua and Cleonice and will be replacing his CADPAT uniform for business casual attire as he starts on his new journey as Procurement Client Services position with 4 CDSB Tech Svcs in Toronto.
4. Mario has chosen to slip out the door unnoticed and wishes to thank all those he has served with for their support, friendship and mentorship.

DÉPART À LA RETRAITE – ADJUM MARIO BATTISTA, CD, 00168 TECH APPRO
1. Après plus de 24 années de loyaux et dévoués services dans les Forces armées canadiennes, l’Adjum Mario Battista prendra sa retraite le 15 janvier 2018.
2. L’Adjum Battista s’enrôle le 14 juin 1993 en tant qu’opérateur des transmissions au sein du 709e Régiment des communications (Toronto). À la fin de son instruction à Kingston et à Borden, l’Adjum Battista commence à travailler comme membre d’un détachement pendant environ 8 mois avant d’être reclassé dans un métier lié à l’approvisionnement en février 1994. D’avril 1994 à mars 1997, il obtient son premier emploi en service de Réserve de classe B, comme cmdtA du QMC. En 1996, il est nommé soldat de l’année pour le 70e Groupe des communications. L’Adjum Battista poursuit sa carrière comme réserviste de classe A, tout en faisant son entrée sur le marché du travail civil, occupant divers postes avant de revenir en service de Réserve de classe B en 2006 en tant que SQMR au 32e Régiment des transmissions. En 2009,
l’Adjum Battista se joint à la 4e Division du Canada, au quartier général de la Force opérationnelle interarmées, dans le poste qu’il occupe actuellement, soit G4 Appro 2.
3. L’Adjum Battista a décidé de s’établir à Burlington, en Ontario, avec sa conjointe Laura et leurs enfants, Joshua et Cleonice. Il troquera son uniforme DCamC pour une tenue de ville décontractée alors qu’il commencera sa nouvelle aventure dans le poste d’Approvisionnement/Service aux clients auprès de la BS 4 Div AC Services techniques, à Toronto.
4. L’Adjum Battista a choisi de se faufiler par la porte arrière et il souhaite remercier tous ceux et celles avec qui il a servi pour leur soutien, leur amitié et leur mentorat.
