MCpl D.M.R.J Miller – 00375 HRA
After more than 27 years of loyal and dedicated service to Canada, and the Canadian Armed Forces, Master Corporal David Miller, CD1 will be retiring effective 24 November 2017.
MCpl Miller enlisted in 1984 at CFRC Toronto and completed Basic Training at CF Recruit School Cornwallis. From there he went to Shilo to complete RCA Battle School and was then posted to 1 RCHA in March 1985. He was posted with 1 RCHA to Lahr Germany in J uly 1985 where he remained until his release in August 1989.
MCpl Miller enrolled again as a Radio Operator in 1995 at CFRC Toronto. He attended Recruit School in St. Jean and was posted to Kingston in 1996. He was part of 1 Canadian Divisional Headquarte rs & Signals Regiment from 1996 until a posting to Canadian Forces Joint Signals Regiment in 2000. In 2000 his trade was changed to Signals Operator. During his time with CFJSR he deployed to the Middle East on Task Force South – West Asia NCCIS in 2003, an d he deployed to Syria with Task Force Golan from August 2005 to February 2006. In July 2009 MCpl Miller was posted to CFB Kingston while he completed an occupational transfer to Resource Management Support Clerk. Following his RMS QL3 in December 2009, he was posted to Ottawa. He worked at Canadian Forces Provost Marshall from December 2009 until his posting to Canadian Forces Support Unit Ottawa in 2011. He then went on to Director General Information Management Technology and Strategic Planning in 2013 a nd from there he was posted to 1 st Battalion, The Royal Canadian Regiment in 2015. Following the RMS Clk occupational analysis and subsequent divide in 2016, MCpl Miller chose Human Resources Administrator for his current trade.
MCpl Miller and his wife Natalie plan to remain in Ottawa, Ontario where he has accepted a Production Clerk position with the Public Service. MCpl Miller has decided he will focus on learning how to skate the Rideau Canal this coming winter, to retrieve his much loved Beaver Tails .

Le Cplc Miller s’est enrôlé en 1984 au CRFC de Toronto et a complété une formation de base à l’École de recrutement des FC à Cornwallis. De là, il est allé à Shilo pour compléter l’école de combat de RCA et a ensuite été affecté au 1 RCHA en mars 1985. Il a été détaché a vec 1 RCHA à Lahr en Allemagne en juillet 1985 où il est resté jusqu’à sa libération en août 1989.
Le Cplc Miller s’est à nouveau enrôlé comme opérateur de radio en 1995 au CRFC de Toronto. Il a fréquenté l’école des recrues à St. Jean et a été affecté à Kingston en 1996. Il a fait partie du 1er Régiment de quartiers généraux et de transmissions de la division canadienne de 1996 jusqu’à son affectation au Régiment interarmées des transmissions des Forces canadiennes en 2000. En 2000, son métier a changé. . Durant son séjour au sein du CFJSR, il a été déployé en Asie du Nord – Est avec le Groupe opérationnel de Golan d’août 2005 à février 2006. En juillet 2009, le Cplc Miller a été affecté à la BFC Kingston alors qu’il terminé un transfert professionnel à un c ommis de soutien à la gestion des ressources. Après son RMS QL3 en décembre 2009, il a été affecté à Ottawa. Il a travaillé au Grand prévôt des Forces canadiennes de décembre 2009 jusqu’à son affectation à l’Unité de soutien des Forces canadiennes à Ottawa en 2011. Il a ensuite été directeur général de la technologie de gestion de l’information et de la planification stratégique en 2013 et affecté au 1er Bataillon. Régiment en 2015. À la suite de l’analyse professionnelle de RMS Clk et de la répartition sub séquente en 2016, le Cplc Miller a choisi l’administrateur des ressources humaines pour son métier actuel.
Le Cplc Miller et son épouse Natalie prévoient demeurer à Ottawa, en Ontario, où il a accepté un poste de commis à la production à la fonction publi que. Le Cplc Miller a décidé de se concentrer sur l’apprentissage de la patinoire du canal Rideau cet hiver afin de récupérer ses queues de castor bien aimées.
