MCpl D.K Gray-Owen, CD 1, 00169 Ammunition Technician
1. Effective 07 February 2018, MCpl Gray – Owen will retire after approximately 25 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces.
2 . MCpl Gray – Owen joined the Canadian Armed Forces on 01 June 1993, in New Westminster, British Columbia as an Infantry soldier in the Royal Westminster Regiment. In 1995, his family moved to Edmonton Alberta and he transferred to the Loyal Edmonton Regiment.
3. After countless class B contracts in CFB Wainwright (PPCLI Battle School), MCpl Gray – Owen thought that it would be for the best to go Reg force. In April 1998 MCpl Gray – Owen found himself in the 1 st Battalion PPCLI and after being on the ground for what seemed to be like 5 minutes, he was thrust into his first real 5-week exercise.
4. In 2003 MCpl Gray – Owen came back from a wonderful tasking in CFB Gagetown and was posted to Suffield as a Range Control Field Firefighter. In 2007 after fighting countless fires caused by the CFB Suffield Ammo Section, MCpl Gray – Owen thought it would be a great job blowing things up and inquired about being an Ammo Tech. After speaking with then Sgt Jay Anderson, MCpl Gray – Owen was hooked on the idea that Ammo Tech was the job for him.
5 . In 2008, after his QL3 graduation in CFB Borden, MCpl Gray – Owen was posted to CFB Gagetown. Then in 2009, he was sent back to CFB Borden to take his QL5 course. After graduation, he ran into then WO Jay Anderson who asked if he would like to go to Afghanistan. MCpl Gray – Owen thought that it couldn’t be worse than CFB Gagetown and quickly volunteered, soon finding himself in CFB Petawawa getting ready to go to California for Training.
6 . In 2010, MCpl Gray – Owen deployed to Afghanistan and befriended a goat named Gary. Gary was the Ammo section ’ s mascot but sadly was ripped apart by a gang of coyotes. After his tour in Afghanistan and returning to CFB Gagetown he was asked if he wanted to go to CFB Suffield and within 6 months MCpl Gray – Owen found himself almost right back where he started.
7 . MCpl Gray – Owen will be staying in Medicine Hat with his wife Stephanie and their daughter.

1. Effectif 07 Février 2018, Cplc Gray – owen prendra sa retraite après 25 années de loyaux service dans les force armée canadienne.
2. Cplc Gray – owen a rejoint les forces armée canadienne le 01 juin 1993, a New Westminster, Colombie – Britannique comme soldat de l’infanterie au Régiment Royal Westminster. En 1995, la famille du Cplc à déménager à Edmonton en Alberta et il a demandé son transfère pour le Régiment Royal d’Edmonton.
3. Après plusieurs contrats de classe B à BFC Wainwright (école de bataille des PPCLI), Cplc Gray – Owen a alors pensé de joindre la force régulière pour aider à sa carrière. En Avril 1998 Cplc Gray – Owen sait retrouver dans le 1 ie r PPCLI Bataillon et après se qui a paru comme 5 minutes, se sont avérer être ces 5 vrai semaines d’exercice.
4. En 2003 Cplc Gray – Owen de retour d’une merveilleuse tache a BFC Gagetown et fus poster a BFC Suffield Control des champs de tir comme pompier . En 2007 après avoir combattu un nombre incroyable de feux allumer par la section des munitions, Cplc Gray – Owen pensait que se serais une bonne idée de faire exploser des chose et posa des question pour devenir technicien des munitions. Après avoir parlé au Sgt Jay Anderson, Cplc Gray – Owen étais accrocher à l’idée de devenir technicien en munition.
5. En 2088, après la graduation de son NQ3 à BFC Borden, Cplc Gray – Owen a été posté à BFC Gagetown. Ensuite en 2009 il a été renvoyé à BFC Borden pour faire le cour NQ%. Après sa graduation il rencontra l’Adjudant Jay Anderson qui lui demanda s’il était intéressé d’aller en Afghanistan. Cplc Gray – Owen se disait que se ne devais pas être pire que BFC Gagetown et rapidement se porta volontaire. Il s’est ensuite re trouver à BFC Petawawa pour se préparer à aller s entrainner en Californie.
6. En 2010, Mcpl Gray – Owen est déployer en Afghanistan et se trouva un ami chèvre appeler Gary. Gary étais la mascotte de la section des munitions mais tristement fu abbatut par u ne meute de coyote affamé. Apres son tour en Afghanistan et son retour à BFC Gagetown il a été demandé si il voulait aller à BFC Suffield et après 6 mois il se retrouva presque ou il a commencé .
