Master Warrant Officer Daniel Roberge CD3, 00171, MSE Op
After completing 43 years of outstanding, loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian armed forces, the logistics branch and the MSE Op trade. MWO Daniel Roberge will retire from the military world on February 14, 2018. He will commence his end of service leave on 24 October 2017.
Daniel enrolled in the CAF from May 1975-1981 with the 55 Service Battalion as a reservist in his native town of Quebec City, Quebec. In his 6 years of service in the reserve, he took the opportunity to work part and full time as an MSE Op.
In 1981, Daniel applied and was accepted to transfer to the Regular Force as an MSE Op. After completing his language training, he was posted to Base transport CFB St-Jean, Quebec (1981-1987), 4 Svc Bn S&T Coy, CFE Lahr (1987-1991), 3 Wing Bagotville, Quebec (1991-1995), and to HQ & Sigs CFB Valcartier, Quebec (1995-2000). In 1996, Daniel was deployed to Bosnia, Ex-Yugoslavia in support of Implementation Force (IFOR) (July 1996-Jan 1997), 4 Airfield Engineering Squadron (4AES), 4 Wing Cold Lake, Alberta (2000-2005), and at 17 Wing Transport Sqn, Winnipeg, Manitoba (2006-2011). In 2006, Daniel was deployed to Op Archer Camp Mirage in the United Arab Emirates in support to the Task Forces Afghanistan (June-Dec 2006). In 2009, to Task Force OP CALUMET, EL Gorah, Eqypt (Apr-Oct 2009), as an Instructor/ Facilitator at the Non-Commission Member Professional Development Centre (NCMPDC) Canadian Defence Academy, Det St-Jean, CMR (2011- 2015), and finally as Wing Support Sergeant-Major at Royal Military College Saint-Jean, Quebec (2015-2018). Daniel would like to thank his wife Darlene, two daughters Véronique and Leann, family and friends for all the love and support over the years. It has been an honour and a privilege to work with the finest group of distinguished world of Truckers.
Daniel plans to stay in Saint- Jean- sur-Richelieu with his wife Darlene. They plan on relaxing, travelling, playing golf, downhill skiing and enjoying retirement life to the fullest by staying active as long as possible.
A depart with dignity luncheon will be held on the 13 October 2017 at the Vieux Mess of Royal Military College Saint-Jean, in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec. The event will begin at 12 a.m. Those who wish to attend, the cost will be $20 including meals and presentations. Payment is requested in advance if possible, otherwise in exact currency at the entry.

Adjudant-maitre Daniel Roberge CD3, 00171, Op MMS
Après avoir complété 43 ans de service exceptionnel, loyal et dédié aux forces armées canadiennes, à la branche logistique et au métier d’opérateur matériel mobile de soutien (Op MMS). Adjum Daniel Roberge prendra sa retraite du monde militaire, le 14 février 2018. Il commencera son congé de fin de service, le 24 oct 2017.
Natif de la ville de Québec, Daniel a joint les FAC en tant que chauffeur réserviste (Op MMS) avec le 55e Bataillon des Services du Canada. (jan 1975-mars 1981). Durant ses 6 années de service avec la réserve, il a eu l’opportunité de travailler à temps partiel et temps plein comme Op MMS 935.
Il appliquera et sera acceptée pour un transfert direct comme Op MMS à la force régulière, le 11 mars 1981. Après avoir complété sa formation en langue seconde, il sera muté au transport de la base, BFC St-Jean, Québec (1981-1987), 4e Bataillon des Services, Cie Transport & Appro, CFE Lahr, Allemagne (1987-1991), 3 Escadre, Bagotville, Québec. (1991-1995), et au QGET, BFC Valcartier, Québec (1995-2000). En 1996, il sera déployé en Bosnie, Ex-Yugoslavie, à l’appui de l’Implémentation de la Force IFOR (juil 1996- jan 1997), 4e Escadron des Ingénieurs de l’Air, 4 Escadre, Cold Lake, Alberta (2000- 2005), et au Transport de la base, 17 Escadres, Winnipeg, Manitoba (2005-2011). En 2006, Daniel sera déployé au Camp Mirage en support de OP ARCHER, Task Forces Afghanistan (juin-décembre 2006), en 2009, à OP CALUMET, Task Forces El Gorah, Égypte (avril-octobre 2009), à titre de Facilitateur/Instructeur au Centre du Perfectionnement Professionnel des Militaires du Rang (CPPMR), à l’Académie canadienne de la Défense (Dét Saint-Jean) CMR, Québec (2011-2015), et finalement, comme sergent-major à l’Escadre de soutien du Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean, Québec. (2015-2018). Daniel aimerait remercier son épouse Darlene, ses deux filles Véronique et Leann, la famille et amis pour toutes l’amour et soutien au cours des années. Il fût un honneur et un privilège de travailler au sien du groupe le plus distingué de camionneurs du monde.
Daniel et son épouse Darlene planifies de demeurer dans la région de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Québec. Ils planifient de relaxer, voyager, rester actif en jouant au golf et faire du ski alpin, tout cela en profitant de la vie le plus longtemps possible.
Une cérémonie de départ dans la dignité aura lieux le 13 oct 2017 à 12 h au Vieux Mess du Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean, à Saint- Jean-sur-Richelieu, Québec. Ceux qui souhaitent assister à l’évènement sont priés d’informer le soussigné avant le 4 octobre. Le coût du repas sera de 20 $ incluant le repas et les présentations. Le paiement est demandé à l’avance, si possible, sinon en monnaie exact à l’entrée.
