Major Jean-Marie Nogue

After 34 years of dedicated service to the CAF, Major Jean-Marie Nogue is retiring from the CAF in July 2021.

Major Nogue initiated his career following his enrolment as an Administration Clerk in 1982, he completed postings to HMCS PROTECTEUR and CFB Baden, before his acceptance as a UTPNCM in 1989 at the rank of Master Corporal.

Following studies at the Collège Militaire Royal de Saint-Jean, Quebec, Major Nogue graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Administration Degree. In 1993, he completed the Base Personnel Administration Course (BPAC) and was subsequently posted to 19 Wing Comox as the Administration Officer at 407 (MP) Squadron. Following studies at the Royal Military College of Kingston, Ontario, Major Nogue graduated in 2004 with a Master of Business Administration Degree.

Major Nogue was employed in many different capacities all over Canada and the world, before releasing from the CAF in 2011 and joining the CFMWS as a Regional Human Resource Manager until 2016. He then re-joined the CAF in 2016 as a Reservist and was employed as the J1 at the CFMP HQ. In May 2018, he joined the CAF TG HQ, as the J1 Programs Coordinator.

Since joining the CAF TG, Major Nogue has been a tireless advocate for many important issues and has shown strong leadership on a wide range of subjects, including the advancement and promotion of Official Languages, Ethics, and Privacy Legislation.

Après 34 ans de loyal service au sein des FAC, le Major Jean-Marie Nogue prendra sa retraite en juillet 2021. Le Major Nogue a amorcé sa carrière en 1982 comme commis d’administration. Il a été affecté au NCSM PROTECTEUR et à la BFC Baden, avant d’être accepté sur le programme PFUMR en 1989 lorsqu’il était au grade de caporal-chef.

Après des études au Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean, Québec, le Major Nogue a obtenu un baccalauréat en administration en 1993. Il a également complété le cours d’administration du personnel de la base et a par la suite été affecté à la 19e Escadre Comox à titre d’officier d’administration au 407e Escadron. Après des études au Collège militaire royal de Kingston, en Ontario, le Major Nogue a obtenu une maîtrise en administration des affaires en 2004.

Le Major Nogue a occupé de nombreux postes à travers le Canada et dans le monde, avant de quitter les FAC en 2011 et de se joindre au SBMFC à titre de gestionnaire régional des ressources humaines jusqu’en 2016. Il a ensuite rejoint à nouveau les FAC en 2016 à titre de réserviste et a été embauché en tant que J1 au QG du PMFC. En mai 2018, il a rejoint le QG GT FAC en tant que coordinateur des programmes J1.

Depuis qu’il s’est joint au GT des FAC, le Major Nogue a été un défenseur infatigable de nombreuses questions importantes et a fait preuve d’un leadership solide sur un large éventail de sujets, y compris l’avancement et la promotion des lois sur les langues officielles, l’éthique et la protection de la vie privée.
