MAJ SCOTT JACKSON, LOG-LAND
- AFTER OVER 19 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE, MAJ SCOTT JACKSON WILL RELEASE FROM THE CAF ON 30 JUNE 2022.
- MAJ JACKSON ENROLLED IN 2003, JOINING THE ARMY PRIMARY RESERVE FORCE AS A SIGNAL OPERATOR WITH 772 ELECTRONIC WARFARE SQUADRON. HE WAS PROMOTED TO MCPL IN 2007 WHILE SERVING WITH 723 (HALIFAX) COMMUNICATION SQUADRON. ON 31 JULY 2009, HE TRANSFERRED TO THE REGULAR FORCE THROUGH THE REGULAR OFFICER TRAINING PROGRAM (ROTP) AS A LAND LOGISTICS OFFICER. HE GRADUATED FROM DALHOUSIE UNIVERSITY IN 2010 WITH A BACHELOR OF COMMERCE DEGREE AND SUBSEQUENTLY COMPLETED HIS LOGISTIC OFFICER TRAINING.
- HIS FIRST POSTING WAS TO 1 SERVICE BATTALION (1 SVC BN) WITH AN ATTACHED POSTING TO 3 PPCLI FROM JANUARY 2011 TO MARCH 2012, WHERE HE DEPLOYED TO AFGHANISTAN AS PART OF OP ATTENTION ROTO 0. UPON HIS RETURN FROM AFGHANISTAN, HE SERVED AS ADMINISTRATION OFFICER, SYSTEMS CONTROL OFFICER, 2IC SUPPLY COMPANY AND PLATOON COMMANDER WITHIN 1 SVC BN. AFTER WHICH, HE WAS POSTED TO LORD STRATHCONAS HORSE ROYAL CANADIANS AS QUARTER MASTER FROM 2014 TO 2016. IN 2016, HE WAS POSTED TO 1 CANADIAN MECHANIZED BRIGADE GROUP HEADQUARTERS AND SIGNAL SQUADRON AS G4 SUPPLY AND G4 OPERATIONS. IN 2017, HE WAS POSTED TO OTTAWA WHERE HE SERVED AS G4 DRMIS AT CANADIAN ARMY HEADQUARTERS UNTIL 2020. CURRENTLY, HE IS IN HIS FINAL YEAR OF SUB-UNIT COMMAND AT THE CANADIAN FORCES LOGISTICS TRAINING CENTRE AS OFFICER COMMANDING MATERIAL MANAGEMENT AND FOODS SERVICES DIVISION.

- MAJ JACKSON WILL RETIRE IN HALIFAX WITH HIS WIFE, ERIN, AND TWO CHILDREN, GRIFFIN AND ADA. BEING A MILITARY BRAT, HE LOOKS FORWARD TO FINALLY SETTING ROOTS WITH HIS FAMILY AND STARTING A NEW CAREER WITH IRVING SHIPBUILDING.
