- LCDR TIM CLARK WILL RETIRE ON 27 SEP 21 AFTER 34 AND A HALF YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO CANADA AND THE CAF.
- LCDR CLARK JOINED THE CAF IN MARCH 1987 AS A PERSONNEL ADMINISTRATION OFFICER. FOLLOWING BOTC, LANGUAGE AND OCCUPATIONAL TRAINING, TIM STARTED HIS CAREER WITH THE AIR FORCE AT MH423 IN SHEARWATER. THIS WAS FOLLOWED BY POSTINGS TO THE CPF PROJECT IN MONTREAL AND HALIFAX. IT WAS ON HIS SECOND POSTING TO THE HALIFAX AREA THAT HE MET HIS BRIDE CATHY. AFTER LESS THAN A YEAR IN HALIFAX, LCDR CLARK WAS POSTED TO CFLS OTTAWA, FOLLOWED BY A POSTING BACK TO HALIFAX (MARLANT HQ). WHILE AT MARLANT HQ, TIM RE-BADGED TO LOGISTICS AS PART OF THE ABSORPTION OF THE PADM OCCUPATION INTO THE LOGISTICS BRANCH. HIS TIME AT MARLANT HQ WAS FOLLOWED BY A POSTING BASE SIDE, TO BASE ADMINISTRATION, AND THEN TO OP DANACA IN THE GOLAN HEIGHTS. UN DUTY WAS FOLLOWED BY POSTINGS TO CFJSG HQ KINGSTON, JTFN YELLOWKNIFE, AND HIS FIRST NATO TOUR, AT THE NATO JOINT WARFARE CENTRE STAVANGER NORWAY.
- PAYING HIS PENANCE, TIM WAS POSTED TO DMPAP OTTAWA, FOLLOWED BY HIS SECOND AND FINAL NATO TOUR, AT THE NATO FORCE INTEGRATION UNIT IN TALLINN, ESTONIA FOR THE FINAL FIVE YEARS OF HIS CAREER, WHICH WAS A GREAT WAY TO END 34 YEARS IN UNIFORM.
- AFTER 15 YEARS AWAY, TIM CONCLUDES HIS CAREER IN HALIFAX, WHERE IT BEGAN FOR HIM AND CATHY, FOR A SHORT TRANSITION PERIOD TO RETIREMENT.
- RECOGNIZING THAT TEAM WORK IS THE KEY TO CAF OPERATIONS, LCDR CLARK IS EXTREMELY THANKFUL FOR ALL THE FANTASTIC PEOPLE HE HAS HAD THE PRIVILEGE TO WORK WITH OVER THE YEARS AND THE RELATIONSHIPS HE HAS BUILT.
- TIM AND CATHY WILL REMAIN IN THE HALIFAX AREA TO GET CAUGHT UP WITH FAMILY AND ESPECIALLY TO ENJOY WATCHING THEIR GRANDDAUGHTER PLAY SOCCER AND HOCKEY.
