CPL MCKENNA, 00168, SUP TECH
After 13 years of dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Royal Canadian Logistics Services, Cpl Michelle McKenna has made the decision to retire from the CAF on the 6th of November 2018.
Michelle originally joined the CAF on 5 Feb 2006, and upon completion of her QL3 Supply training was posted to CFB Gagetown. During this time, Michelle worked numerous positions within customer services. Upon the completion of her QL5A in 24 February 2009 she was posted to the Canadian Forces School of Engineers where she mastered the austere world of procurement. Michelle was then summoned back to 5 CDSG to work within the Ammo Section. Michelle finished her tenure within 5 CDSG Sup Coy as the CSM assistant where her knowledge was instrumental.
Michelle is retiring to Oromocto, NB with her husband Jamie. Michelle will utilize her newly acquired free time to see more of her four children Kelsie (24), Kaitlin (22), Wesley (20), Chandler (19) and her Granddaughter Aspen. She plans on relaxing and spending some time with her husband Jamie as they perfect their skills at the backyard game of Washers, hoping to someday be the reigning champions amongst their friends.
At the request of Michelle, there will be an informal gathering at Dooly’s at 1198 Onondaga St, Oromocto, NB on the 16th November at 1100hrs.

Après 13 années de service dévoué auprès des Forces armées canadiennes et du Service Royal de la logistique du Canada, le caporal Michelle McKenna prendra sa retraite des FAC le 6 novembre 2018.
Michelle a joint les Forces armées canadiennes le 5 février 2006. Après avoir complété sa formation en approvisionnement, QL3, elle a été mutée à la base militaire de Gagetown où elle a occupé plusieurs postes au sein du service à la clientèle. Après avoir terminé son QL5, le 24 février 2009, elle a été affectée à l’École du génie des Forces canadiennes où elle a su maîtriser le monde austère des achats. Michelle est ensuite retournée à la Base de soutien de la 5e Division Du Canada pour travailler au sein de la section de munitions. Michelle a terminé son mandat au sein de la BS 5 Div CA avec la compagnie d’approvisionnement en tant qu’assistante du SMC où ses connaissances ont été primordiales.
Michelle et son conjoint, Jamie, demeureront à Oromocto, au Nouveau-Brunswick. Michelle profitera de ses nouveaux temps libre pour passer plus de temps avec ses quatre enfants, Kelsie (24), Kaitlin (22), Wesley (20), Chandler (19) et sa petite-fille, Aspen. Elle prévoit aussi se détendre et passer du temps avec son mari, Jamie. Ils essaient de perfectionner leurs habiletés au jeu
de « Washers » dans l’espoir d’être les champions en titre parmi leurs amis.
À la demande de Michelle, un rassemblement informelle aura lieu au Dooly’s, situé au 1198 rue Onondaga, Oromocto, Nouveau-Brunswick, le 16 novembre 2018 à 11 heures.
