Corporal Krista M. Landriault, CD
1. After 25 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces, Corporal (Cpl) Krista M. Landriault, CD, MOSID 00171 MSE-Op, will retire 24 June 2023.
2. Cpl Landriault joined the Reserve Force in January 1990. She initially enrolled in St-John’s Newfoundland before heading on basic training in Cornwallis, NS. Her career began as an Ocean Operator; now called Sonar Operator. Once qualified, she was stationed in Shelburne Nova Scotia to kickstart her military journey. During this posting, she sailed on HMCS Margaree where she also flew as a co-pilot on one of their planes. Today, this remains a highlight of her military carer. Cpl Landriault’s journey came to a crossroads, and she decided to prioritize having a family, which led to her release from the CAF; at least temporarily.
3. In 1998, Cpl Landriault decided to re-enrol in the Reserves, this time as a Cook. While awaiting her trade’s course, Cpl Landriault completed OJT on HMCS Scotian. During her time as a Cook, Cpl Landriault completed her QL3, 5 and 6 trade training. Cpl Landriault also completed her PLQ in 2005. Cpl Landriault was employed in Windsor Park Galley, at the Chief & PO’s mess in Halifax, at the 1st Submarine Sqn, HMCS Iroquois, HMCS Charlottetown, HMCS Fredericton, HMCS Preserver; to name a few.
4. In 2011 Cpl Landriault decided she needed another change and transferred to the Regular Force and became an MSE Op. She had several tasks to support the Halifax Tatoo Band and worked as a heavy equipment operator supporting SNIC operations. Cpl Landriault completed her RVSS course to become a collision investigator. Then she was posted to CFB Kingston where she worked in GPV, Dispatch and RVSS. Cpl Landriault’s most enjoyable experiences as a driver were VIP tasks.
5. Furthermore she completed one tour in Afghanistan on the HMCS Iroquois, ROTO 3 from March 2003 to the end of July 2003.
6. Cpl Landriault is now ready to close this chapter and enjoy her retirement. Cpl Landriault will keep busy with her cake business, which allows her to work alongside her daughter Natasha Megan. Cpl Landriault holds close to her heart all the memories with her military family. Cpl Landriault would like to thank all of those who walked alongside and supported her throughout their Military journey.
7. Cpl Landriault will be moving to Nova Scotia where she will spend time with her three children, Corey Dean, Natasha Megan and Patrick Ryan and her four grandchildren, Myles, Casper, Jake and Alex.

2. La Caporal Landriault joindra les Forces de Réserves en janvier 1990. Elle débutera sa carrière à St-Johns, Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador avant d’entamer son cours de recrues de base à Cornwallis, NE. Sa carrière commençait en tant qu’Opératrice de Sonar où elle fut envoyée servir à Shelburne, NE. Durant son temps positionné là-bas, la Caporal Landriault naviguera à bord du HMCS Margaree ou elle aura la chance de co-piloter un des avions qu’ils avaient à bord. A ce jour, ce souvenir restera un des plus précieux moment de sa carrière militaire.
3. En 1998, La Caporal Landriault décidera de rejoindre les Forces de Réserves à nouveau en tant que Cuisinière. En attente de son nouveau cours de métier, la Caporal Landriault travaillera sur le HMCS Scotian. Suivant cela, elle ira faire son cours de métier de base (QL3) suivies de son QL5 et QL6. Elle complètera sa Qualification Élémentaire en Leadership (QEL) en 2005 et sera employée au Windsor Park Galley, a l’escadron de première ligne de Sous-marin, HMCS Iroquois, HMCS Charlottetown, HMCS Fredericton, HMCS Préserver, juste pour en nommer quelque uns.
4. En 2011, La Caporal Landriault décidera qu’il sera temps pour elle de transférer dans la Force Régulière en temp qu’Op MMS. Suivant son cours de métier comme Opérateur MMS, elle aura la chance de supporter le Halifax Tatoo Band et de travailler en équipement lourd en support aux opérations de neige de la base d’Halifax. Quelques années plus tard, Cpl Landriault complètera son cours d’investigatrice de sécurité routière. Elle sera alors employée à la cellule de sécurité routière de la Base des Forces Canadienne Kingston.
5. Cpl Landriault complètera un tour en Afghanistan sur the HMCS Iroquois, ROTO 3 de Mars 2003 à Juillet 2003.
6. La Cpl Landriault est maintenant prête a fermé ce chapitre de carrière militaire et de profiter de sa retraite entourée de ses enfants et en investissant du temps dans sa compagnie de gâteaux qu’elle a fondée avec sa fille. Cpl Landriault tiens a remerciée tous ceux qui ont eu un impact positif sur elle lors de sa carrière dans les Forces.
7. Cpl Landriault déménagera en Nouvelle Écosse suivant sa sortie des Forces Armées Canadienne. Elle ira rejoindre ses enfants Corey Dean, Natasha Megan et Patrick Ryan ainsi que ses petits-enfants Myles, Casper, Jake et Alex.
