AFTER A SHORT STAY IN OTTAWA WORKING WITH THE SJS TOM MADE THE MOVE TO ST. JOHN S (A MOVE TOM SHOULD HAVE PREDICTED AFTER MARRYING A FINE NFLD WOMAN) WHERE HE FULFILLED THE ROLE OF RSS OFFICER FOR 37 SVC BN. AN OPPORTUNITY THEN PRESENTED ITSELF WITH THE NEWLY FORMED JPSU AND AFTER A VERY DIFFICULT DECISION TO LEAVE THE REG FORCE TOM ACCEPTED A PRES POSITION WITH IPSC ST. JOHN S. HE HAS FOUND HIS WORK WITH OUR ILL AN INJURED SOLDIERS EXTREMELY REWARDING AND CHALLENGING AT TIMES. NO TWO DAYS HAVE BEEN ALIKE. FORTUNATELY, TOM WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO CONTINUE HIS WORK WITH OUR ILL AND INJURED AT IPSC ST. JOHN S AS A PUBLIC SERVANT, AFTER ACCEPTING THE SERVICES MANAGER POSITION WITHIN THAT ORGANIZATION. HE WILL TRULY MISS THE MILITARY, BUT IS EXCITED AT THE PROSPECT OF CONTINUING HIS WORK WITHIN THE JPSU AND LENDING A HAND TO THOSE DESERVING SOLDIERS WHO NEED IT MOST.
TOM ALONG WITH HIS WIFE MELISSA AND TWO BOYS DECLAN AND RIORDAN WILL CONTINUE TO RESIDE IN THE CBS AREA WHERE THEY WILL SPEND THE MAJORITY OF THERE OFF HOURS IN LOCAL ARENAS AND NOT NEARLY ENOUGH TIME ON THE GOLF COURSE. ANNUAL SUMMER TRIPS TO THE COTTAGE IN ONTARIO WILL CONTINUE TO ENSURE TOM S ACCENT DOESN T GET TOO FAR GONE.
DWD FUNCTION WILL TAKE PLACE IN ST. JOHN S AT A TIME AND DATE TBD.
