Invitation to Submit Stories, Photos, Etc.
Through our contact in Northern Ireland, we have had a request from Deirdre Donnelly for stories about the RCN in WWII. Deidre is making a two part documentary for the BBC to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of WWII and the Battle of The Atlantic. Her team will be diving on some of the u boats and a sunken ship off the Irish coast. The human stories and social history are as important as the story of military manoeuvres and tactics. Given the importance of the Newfie-Derry run & the role of the Royal Canadian Navy, she invites you to submit memoirs, letters, photos or any footage of the RCN in the Battle of the Atlantic.
