1. AFTER FIFTEEN YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE CAF, LOGISTICS BRANCH AND THE RCN, CPL PHILIP SAVOIE WILL RETIRE FROM THE CANADIAN ARMED FORCES EFFECTIVE 04 JUNE 2019.

2. PHIL FIRST JOINED THE NORTH SHORE (NEW BRUNSWICK) REGIMENT AS A INFANTEER IN DECEMBER 2004. HE CONTINUED TO ENJOY MANY TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDING A DEPLOYMENT TO AFGHANISTAN AS PART OF 2 RCR INDIA COY FOR TF 1-10.

3. PHIL CONDUCTED A COMPONENT TRANSFER TO THE REGULAR FORCE AS A
SUPPLY TECHNICIAN IN MAY 2011. UPON COMPLETION OF HIS QL3 TRAINING
HE CONTINUED TO WORK AT CFB BORDEN IN PROCUREMENT. HE WAS POSTED TO CFB HALIFAX IN AUGUST OF 2012 WHERE HE WORKED IN CUSTOMER SERVICE AND
BECAME ACCUSTOMED TO THE NAVAL ENVIRONMENT. ONE SHORT YEAR LATER AND
PHIL TOOK HIS FIRST STEP ON BOARD HMCS PRESERVER WHERE HE REMAINED
FOR THE NEXT TWO YEARS, CONDUCTING OP CARIBBE AND THE FOLLOWING
SAILS THAT SAW THE SHIP PAID OFF. AT THIS POINT HE FINALLY CAME TO REST AT BASE LOGISTICS WHERE HE ACCUMULATED FURTHER TRADE KNOWLEDGE AND MANY FRIENDS.

4. PHIL WILL BE RETURNING TO OROMOCTO N.B. WHERE HE PLANS ON
SPENDING MORE TIME WITH HIS WIFE, CPL VICKY THIBODEAU AND CHILDREN, KELLY, ALEX AND JASMINE. HIS INTENT IS TO SPEND HIS FREE TIME RIDING HIS
HARLEY.
