MCPL Morley Keeping, CD, MSE OP
MCpl Morley Keeping will be retiring on 22 March 2019 after completing more than 18 years loyal and dedicated service to Canada and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).
He enrolled in the CAF on 09 July 1999 in St John’s NL, as a Navy Steward completing one year. MCpl Keeping decided being a steward was not for him and left the forces. On 19 of June 2001, he enrolled back in the forces and completed his QL 3 course for MSE OP in Borden. Upon graduation MCpl Keeping and his family were posted to beautiful Cold Lake, AB where they spent 8 years. Within those years MCpl Keeping completed his QL 5 and was promoted to Corporal in the fall of 2004.
Throughout his career he deployed many times. MCpl Keeping went to the Golan Heights in 2006, Afghanistan in 2008 and also deployed with the dart team to Port Au Prince Haiti after the earthquake in 2010.
In 2010, MCpl keeping was posted to 2 Svc Bn in Petawawa, ON. He was employed in many sections and was rewarded with another promoted in 2012 to Master Corporal. After five years in 2 Svc Bn, MCpl Keeping was posted to 4 CDSB TECH SVCS.
MCpl Keeping, his wife Krista and the two dogs Bailey and Jesse plan on staying in the Petawawa area for the next year, then move to Newfoundland to be around their families.

Le Cplc Morley Keeping prendra sa retraite le 22 mars 2019 après avoir complété plus de 18 ans de loyaux services au Canada et aux forces armées canadiennes (FAC).
Il s’est enrôlé dans les FAC le 09 juillet 1999 à St John, Terre-Neuve en tant qu’intendant marine avec la Marine Royale Canadienne. Après avoir complété un ans comme intendant il décide que ce métier n’est pas pour lui et quitte les FAC. Le 19 juin 2001, il se ré-enrôle comme conducteur de matériel mobile de soutien (Cond MMS / MSE OP) et complète son NQ3 à Borden. Lors de sa graduation de son NQ3 il est muté à Cold Lake en Alberta avec sa famille pendant les prochaines huit années. Durand cette période, il complète son NQ5 et il est promu caporal à l’automne 2004.
Durant sa carrière il se déploie à plusieurs occasions. Le Cplc Keeping est allé au Golan en 2006, en Afghanistan en 2008 et aussi s’est déplyé à Port-au-Prince, Haïti avec l’équipe DART lors du tremblement de terre en 2010.
En 2010, le Cplc Keeping est muté au 2 BNS du C à Petawawa, On. Il est employé dans plusieurs sections et il est promu en 2012 au rang de caporal-chef. Après cinq ans au 2 BNS du C, il est muté au Services Techniques de la Base de Soutien de la 4ième Division, Petawawa.
Le Cplc Keeping, sa conjointe Krista et leurs deux chiens Bailey et Jesse demeurons dans la région de Petawawa pour la prochaine année. Ensuite, il planifie de déménager à Terre-Neuve pour être proche de leurs familles respectives.
