TurcotteIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Roger Turcotte on 14 April 2025 at the age of 90.

Roger served with the Canadian Armed Forces for over 25 years with the Logistics Corp, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer. After retiring from the Regular Force, Roger was a member of the Primary Reserve Force and held the position as Commandant of Blackdown Training Centre with the rank of Major.

Roger was a member in good standing with the Royal Canadian Legion for 34 years.

He originally joined the Legion with the Creemore Branch and transferred to Branch 499 Angus on April 18 2013. He was always seen at Remembrance Day ceremonies and frequently participated in Branch 499 parades. Roger actively participated in Branch meetings often providing positive input to Branch operations.

A Legion Service and Celebration of Life will be held at the RCL Edward MacDonald Branch 499, 15 Fraser Street, Angus, ON from 1300 to 1600 on 21 June 2025.
