MILLS, Warrant Officer Joyce Elizabeth

Peacefully at St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital, Kingston on Friday, February 19, 2016 at the age of 60. Loving mother of Christine and Betty Jean Peachey, grandmother of Jolina McMillan, daughter of Betty and the late Harold Mills, sister of David and William Mills. Recently retired from the military, Joyce served across Canada including British Columbia, Alberta, Nova Scotia and Ontario. Joyce also served overseas in Bosnia and Afghanistan. Friends and family are invited to attend A Celebration of Life on the 3rd of March, 2016 from 7 to 9pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 631, 4034 Bath Road, Kingston, K7M 4Y4. The evening will include a small auction with proceeds going to the Kingston Boys and Girls Club. A private memorial will take place at Lakeside Anglican Church at a later date. A Fallen Limb A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me”. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song. The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes we’re together again.
