Thomas Edward Hill, age 78, of Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully at QEII Hospital on October 10, 2023, surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born on June 12, 1945, in Toronto, ON
Thomas leaves to mourn his partner, Karen Corbett; son, Michael Hill and Ibrahim Akyol, Toronto, ON; daughter, Jennifer and son-in-law, Brad Beauchamp, Colorado Springs, CO; granddaughter, Gabrielle Beauchamp-Viel, Ottawa, ON and many nieces and nephews.
Thomas was predeceased by his wife and love of his life for 38 years, Shirley Kathleen Hilland and by infant twin sons.
Tom joined the Royal Canadian Navy on October 5, 1962, and served for 33 years. His service included HMCS Iroquois from 1972 to 1974 and later, at NDHQ as a Career Manager. After retirement he served with the Canadian Corp of Commissionaires from 1997-2002.
Cremation has taken place. A Service for family and friends will be held at St. John’s the Evangelist Anglican Church and Graveyard, Lower Sackville. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
