From Joanne Crombie:
Dear Nancy and Family. I found out about the heartbreaking news of John’s passing. He seemed like the kind of man who would live forever. He was my friend and mentor and I hope I was the same for him. He was such an amazing soldier, cook and most of all human being. I know from all the years we worked together that above all else his family was most important to him. I’m so glad I took the time to have a coffee with him last time I was in town. I will be thinking and praying for you and your family during this difficult time.
