GRANT, Winston, RCASC, MSE Op

GrantSurrounded by his family, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, NB on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at the age of 75, Winston died peacefully in the arms of his wife, Florence Benoit

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Brenda and Debby (Denis); three grandchildren: Shanon, Vicky and Lucas, as well as Danny whom he considered as his grandson.

He was a veteran of the Canadian army and served his country for 37 years.  He gave a lot of his time during the holidays to shine the magic of Christmas in the eyes of young and old by interpreting Santa Claus for 22 years.

The family will receive friends from 14h on Friday 1 st November at the Robichaud Funeral Home & Sons, 3875 Main Street, in Tracadie.  The funeral will be held at Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church and Saint-Joseph de Tracadie on Saturday, November 2nd at 11am.

Visiting hours Friday 1 st November from 14h to 16h, from 19h to 21h, Saturday, November 2, from 9:30 to 10:45.

A sad time ….”Numbers” as he was known to many is gone…..Winston Grant passed away today, there will be a huge hole in the hearts of thousands in New Brunswick …he was special…..to Flo and their family member I extend my sincere condolences to each…a wonderful person, an excellent soldier, and a true friend…they just do not come any better…..I am so glad I took the time a few years ago and rode my motorcycle to Val-Comeau NB to spend the afternoon with him…it was a hoot….Rest In Peace My Friend…..Prayers…
