GRANT, Michael Freeman, MCpl (Ret’d), CD, Logistics

GrantIt is with profound sadness we announce the sudden passing on 14 May 2020 of MCpl Michael Freeman Grant, CD of Newburg, N.B., at the age of 60.  Michael was born in Woodstock, N.B., on March 12, 1960.  He is survived by his mother, Gail Freeman, Halifax; brother, Dana Edward Grant (K. Murphy), Cambridge, Ont.; and sister, Jacqueline Grant Desrochers, Herring Cove;

CAF Retired Army MCpl Michael Grant did two tours overseas and served his country proudly with honour and distinction.  A courageous warrior who battled for many years to stay just a little longer on earth, you will remain forever in our hearts, rest easy soldier “Stand Fast”.

Interment will be held in Canterbury Cemetery and Annapolis Royal at a later date. Donations can be made to the Veterans Fund/Northwood Inc., Halifax, or IWK Health Sciences Centre in honour of Mike.  Messages of condolence may be sent online to: www.carletonfuneralhome.ca
