GARAGAN, Sean Frederick, WO (Ret’d), CD, RCASC, RCLS
Sean passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15th, 2024 at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of the late Susan Garagan. Sadly, missed by his sons Sean (Colleen) of Estevan, SK, Steve (Gwen) of Beaver Dam, NB, David (Leeanne) of Parry Sound, ON and Danny (Louise) of North Bay, ON. Loved grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Sean will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Sean completed 47 years of dedicated service in the Canadian Armed Forces and Canadian Corps of Commissionaires.
At Sean’s and the family’s request, cremation has taken place. Friends may pay their respects, and visit with the family at the STEVEN R. BRIDGE FUNERAL HOME, 207 Mill Street Angus, ON, on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024, from 12 noon until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 pm. It is with a heavy heart that I bring the news of the passing of an OLD GUARD RCASC member Sean Garagan. On behalf of his family, I extend their thanks for all the support shown over the past couple of weeks.
There was only one Sean, soldier extraordinaire, hockey referee, and a true friend to so many, he for sure will be missed. A true fighter took on cancer years ago and beat it but succumbed to a weakened heart situation.
To his family I send my sincere and deepest condolences, and offer my assistance at this difficult time
Stand Down Soldier your watch is over your duty done.
