FORD, Christopher “Chris”, MWO (Ret’d), CD, RCLS

FordIt is with sadness that the family of Christopher “Chris” Ford announces his passing at Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at the age of 54.  Born in Norris Point, NL, on February 22, 1967, he was the husband of Cindy Ford of Oromocto, NB.  In addition to his wife, Cindy, he leaves behind his children, Justin and Jessica Ford; furry friend, Guinness; and a large extended family.

The military held a special spot in Chris’s huge heart.  He proudly served 30 plus years and felt privileged to wear the uniform every day.  Chris loved to talk, as everyone knows, and he was thankful for all the friends he made during his military career.

Chris was a blessing to the people who knew him.  He loved life and embraced it, being grateful for what he had and teaching others to do the same.  He saw the good in other people.  Chris’s wife Cindy and his children will remember him as a wonderful husband and father and they are so proud to have had him in their lives.  He was the center of their world and they adored him as much as he adored them.  They are heartbroken he is gone too soon but grateful for the memoires he has left.  Chris was a big teddy bear with a devilish smile that lit up a room and the world needs more people like him.

As for his many other friends, know that he cherished you all.  There will be no services at this time.  For those who wish, donations in Chris’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
