EMERY, Garry, Senior NCO (Ret’d), RCOC

Garry Emery of Parksville BC, age 74, passed on February 25th.  He is survived by his wife Betty Ann and sons Brent and Randy.

Garry joined the RCOC Apprentice Training Company in 1961 and upon graduation in 1963, was posted to 28 COD in Shilo (MB).  Garry then qualified as a parachutist and worked as a parachute rigger in both Shilo and Edmonton.  Garry then qualified as a Para Rescue specialist and served in Summerside and Comox until retirement from the CF in 1986.  He then took up civilian employment in Edmonton with Dow Chemical.  Garry was also a member of the National Biathlon team in the late 60s.

A memorial service will be held at 1300, Friday March 8, 2019 at Yates Serenity Room, 1000 Allsbrook Road, Parksville, BC
