BURKE, Thomas Martin “Marty”, Maj. (Ret’d), CD, RCAF, Logistics

Suddenly but peacefully, Marty passed away on March 15, 2015. He will be dearly missed by family and friends, including his children Katrina and Steve, grandchildren Liam, Olivia and Hazel, son-in-law Steve, daughter-in-law Dana and beloved friend Leila Constable. Born in Ottawa, raised in Ogdensburg, NY, he was a proud alumnus of St. Michael’s College in Colchester, VT. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 29 years before seeking new goals in the private sector. He retired to Portland, in the Rideau Lakes region where he loved to fish and kayak and began his second career as a nature photographer. Marty touched the lives of people on both sides of the border and stayed active in many groups and associations.
