Berube

It is with great sadness that we wish to inform of the passing of 530 Cpl (Ret’d) Nancy Berube, M.G.N., CD.  She passed away peacefully at her home with family and friends by her side on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the age of 50 years.

Nancy served in the Regular Force of the Canadian Armed Forces as an Air Traffic Controller from 1987- 1992, and as a Supply Technician from 1997-2005.  She was also a formidable friend and driving force behind Fire Team K9’s and K-9 Headquarters.  Nancy Berube served as the Vice President of Fire Team K9s, Director of Animal Welfare and Certified Trainer.  Her dream was the creation of K-9 Headquarters, and her passion for helping service members and first responders stems from her former service with the Canadian Armed Forces and during her training course at Northern College (Kirkland Lake) to become a Police officer with the OPP.  She graduated top of her class with honours.

Her Service Dog, Professor Plum will continue to stay in the Fire Team Family and will be a frequent visitor at K-9 Headquarters.

There will be a Memorial Service taking place for those that wish to attend on Thursday, 08 October 2020 at the following location:
