BEACH, Reginald (Reg) D, Maj (Ret’d), CD, Logistics

BeachIt is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Reginald Beach on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the age of 81 years.

Predeceased by Judy, his loving wife of 56 Years, Reg will be lovingly remembered by his sons Todd (Kelli) Beach of Hampton, NB and Greg (Tammy) Beach of Fairview, AB.  Reg had a special connection with his grandchildren who knew him as “Papa”: Aidan, Cara Rose, Eireyann, Peighton and Rowan.

Reg was a 37-year member of the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves (Major, Ret’d) as well as a member of the 32nd Service Battalion Association.  He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and was particularly proud of his role as Parade Commander for the Moncton Remembrance Day ceremonies for several years.  In his civilian career he served for 35 years as a Regional Purchasing Agent with the CN.

Reg was a dedicated member of Mountain View United Church and the church choir.  He could usually be found in and around the kitchen and took a lead role in the recent finished kitchen renovation project.  He also was a member and past president of the Holy Family Church Seniors Group.

Above all, Reg cherished his family and relationships with friends.  Upon his retirement he took up carving and woodworking and his children’s houses are filled with the products of his craftsmanship.  When he was no longer able to work in the woodshop, he turned his hand to baking – cookies, cakes, pies, cheesecake, bread and muffins to be shared.  He can take some of the credit for the weight that many of us gained during the pandemic. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held.  To view the service from a mobile device or tablet after 2:00 pm on Monday, December 7, 2020, please use the following link: vimeo.com/486431804

Memorial donations may be made to Mountain View United Church (http://mtview.ca), The Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca) or to a charity of the donor’s choice.  Online condolences for the family may be shared on Fergusons Funeral Home Facebook page or at www.fergusonsfuneralhome.com
