ANDRUSZKA, John, Major (Ret’d), OMM, CD, RCOC
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Andruszka on Friday, March 1, 2019 at age 73. Beloved husband of 48 years to Isabelle (nee Jolicoeur), loving father to Wendy Lapierre (Scott), Grandpa to Alexandre, Patrick, Chloe and Lochlan.
John joined the Canadian Army in 1966 under the Officer Candidate Program. He was commissioned into the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps in 1967, and served in various field and headquarters positions, including Base Supply Officer, CFB Calgary, Career Manager at National Defence Headquarters, and Staff Officer Supply at Canadian Forces Europe. John retired from the military out of J4 Log in 2001. He then took a Full-Time Reserve position with ADM(Pol)’s Directorate of Military Training and Cooperation, eventually transitioning into a civilian position with the same organisation, where he maintained responsibility for Administration and Finance until his full retirement in August 2018; after more than 52 years of service to Canada.
Friends and Family are invited to visit at Beechwood Cemetery and Funeral Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa from 11 o’clock Sunday, March 10, until time of Memorial Service in the Sacred Space at 1 o’clock.

May our tears of sadness become tears of joy in remembering John.
