FENNEMA, PETER, WO (Ret’d), RCAPC and CAF
Passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 20, 2015 in his 86th year. Loving husband to Sibby for 63 years and beloved father to Sylvia Richardson (Don) of Kitchener, Floyd Fennema (Debbie) of Chatham, and Michael Fennema (Nancy) of Ottawa. Proud Grandfather to Brent and Mark, Brianne and Kurt, Josh and Kyle. Peter and Sibby started a new family legacy by emigrating from the Netherlands to Canada in 1952. Peter spent 23 years serving his country as a Warrant Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, and was an avid traveller, card player and devoted family man.
Remembered by RCLSA National President, Bernie Grover, as “a great guy” when he worked with Peter in Lahr in the early 1970s.
