HeddenLloyd Henry Hedden passed away on January 11, 2023 at Chilliwack General Hospital, at age 88 years.  He was born September 28, 1934 in Moose Jaw, SK.  He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Shirley (Bendeler) Hedden. Loving father of Darlene (Shane) Merriman of Chilliwack, Lloyd “Willie” Hedden of Vernon, Dianne (Wade) Cotie of Cultus Lake, and Lyle Hedden of Campbell River. Always remembered by his grandchildren, Brian (Krysten), Brad (Sarah), Evan, Carrie, Justine, and Cassidy (Kenny) and great grandchildren Ivy, Alana, Elizabeth, Emily, Ellie, and Johnny.

Lloyd joined the Air Force in 1951, leaving behind his home and the family corner store in Port Alberni. He served until 1977 with postings in Moose Jaw, Rivers, Summerside, Lahr, and Chilliwack. 

After retirement for the next 15 years, he worked for Fisheries and then at Mount Thurston Correctional Centre.

Lloyd was an avid golfer and looked forward to his dart and poker nights. He was the life of the party, making sure everyone was having fun. Lloyd volunteered for the Chilliwack Senior Resource Centre doing income taxes.
