KEARSLEY, James “Jim”, PO2 (Ret’d), CD, Cook, RCN, RCLS
Jim, age 70, of New Albany, Annapolis Co., passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, December 17, 2023, at home. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, he was a son of the late Charles and Margaret (Murray) Kearsley.
Jim had a wonderful career with the Canadian Armed Forces where he retired after 36 years as a Navy Cook. He had a knack for bringing people together. He enjoyed nothing more than gatherings with family and friends. Jim enjoyed entertaining and cooking for others, especially the wings.
He was a sports enthusiast, watching his favourite hockey, football and baseball games, where he cheered from the comforts of his living room. He was a die-hard Maple Leaf’s fan!
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Louise (Jarvis) Kearsley; son, Samuel (Sarah); daughter, LeeAnna (Tyler); and grandchildren, Justin “J.J”, Savannah and Sammy;
Cremation has taken place. As per his wishes, there are no services at this time. He will be ceremoniously buried at sea with the Canadian Armed Forces at a future date.
