Francois passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family in Gatineau on Thursday August 17th 2023 at the age of 62. Beloved husband of France Riopel, cherished father to Marc-André and Isabelle (Kyle Fournier) and proud “Pépère” of Talia and Layla.
He will be dearly missed by his friends at the Buckingham Curling Club and brothers and sister-in-arms.
Friends and family are invited to pay respects at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Ave. Ottawa, Saturday August 26th after 9:00a.m. Memorial Service will be held in the Sacred Space at 10:00 a.m. followed by urn interment at the National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces at 11:00 a.m. A gathering for remembrance will take place afterward.
