WASSON. Gary, Trueman, Ret’d, CD, RCA, RCLS-Mse Op
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Gary, age 60, on April 21, 2021. Born in Truro, Gary leaves behind, his loving wife of 38 years, Suzanne (Sevigny); 3 sons, Nicholas (Brittany), Grand Prairie, Alberta; Brian and Brandon, both of Eastern Passage; and grandsons, Greyson and Ethan.
Retired Gunner in the Canadian Armed Forces, he served in Cyprus and did a tour in Germany during the Gulf War. Gary had a huge heart and loved helping family, friends, neighbors and anyone in need. Gary lived life enthusiastically, loud and proud. This was evident in his gardening and model trains. Gary was also an active member of AA for 13 plus years.
Gary’s presence will be hugely missed by his family and community.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Lower Pleasant Valley Cemetery or charity of your choice.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, burial will be at a later date.
